6 cyclists, namely Robin, Jon, Kevin, Denise, Emily and Michelle met at Tickhill headquarters and departed on a cloudy day with the possibility of rain at some stage at about 9.05 hrs. We headed up Apy Hill Lane and unfortunately Emily had a chain set issue when she changed gear. She decided to persevere until we reached the hill ascending into Laughton village. Emily decided to leave us at this point as she lived fairly near by, and so did Michelle who had other commitments.
The 4 of us cracked onto North Anston and eventually reached Lottie's Cafe at 11.15 hrs after cycling 20.75 miles.
We managed to dodge all the rain showers and sat outside under an awning just in case the heavens opened. Our return Ride was set at a cracking pace via Letwell to Oldcotes and joined Styrrup Lane and the A60.
We turned left onto lane passing Wongs Farm ascending to the A631 and back into Tickhill.
We had by a miracle missed all the rain showers apart from Kevin on his return ride home!
I think an excellent day's ride was had by all and thanks for your company over the 33 miles.
