On behalf of all TVC members, Rob Drohan and Michael Sales presented a cheque for £1225 to the family of Paul Bentham at the "Paul Fest" held at TCC this weekend.
As members of Tickhill Velo you will know how hard we work to integrate into the community and how much credence we put on raising money to support local charitable beneficiaries. This year we are raising funds to assist the family of Paul Bentham to provide him with the home care he needs after being released from a long recovery from a serious Stroke he suffered last Autumn.
Paul Bentham was Tickhill Cricket Club (TCC) Manager when we were invited to make TCC our base and provided enthusiastic assistance to our club for many years until his relatively recent retirement. His Stroke has left him in a ‘Locked in Syndrome’ meaning he can only communicate by blinking his eyes, even though he is conscious. His family remain hopeful of a future recovery but do need all the help they can gain to provide the care he now needs. More information can be found on Paul’s Gofundme page.
